Intelligent interface design is the broader practice of creating UIs that adapt, learn, and respond to user behaviour through embedded intelligence. It's not limited to agents — it includes smart defaults, predictive input, adaptive layouts, and contextual help. But in the agentic context, it extends to interfaces that negotiate with users, propose alternatives, and explain their reasoning. The 'intelligence' isn't hidden behind the scenes; it's visible in how the interface behaves.
