Proactive UX

Proactive UX describes interfaces that take initiative — surfacing information, suggesting actions, or starting tasks before the user explicitly asks. A proactive agent might flag that a customer's contract is about to expire, draft a renewal email, and schedule a follow-up meeting. The design tension is between being helpful (catching things the user would have missed) and being intrusive (interrupting with things the user doesn't care about). Getting the threshold right is the art of proactive UX.
