Agent System Designer
Design how software behaves when it starts acting on behalf of users
About the Role
We're looking for an Agent System Designer to define how humans and AI agents collaborate.
This is not a traditional UX or product role.
You won't be designing screens. You'll be designing behavior, trust, and outcomes.
You'll work at the intersection of:
- Product thinking
- System design
- Human-AI interaction
Your job is to turn ambiguous problems into agentic systems that people trust and rely on.
What You'll Do
- Design agent behaviors and workflows across real business use cases
- Define when agents act, when they ask, and when they escalate
- Model trust boundaries, autonomy levels, and failure modes
- Map user intent to system actions to outcomes
- Translate business processes into agentic experiences
- Use tools like Lampo to create production-ready system specs
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs are buildable and scalable
- Continuously refine systems based on real-world usage and feedback
What You'll Work On
- Sales and GTM agents
- Product onboarding and support systems
- Internal workflow automation (Ops, Finance, CS)
- Multi-agent systems across teams and functions
What We're Looking For
- Strong product thinking (PM, UX, or systems background)
- Ability to break down complex workflows into structured systems
- Intuition for human behavior, trust, and decision-making
- Comfort working with ambiguity and shaping new paradigms
- Basic understanding of how AI/LLMs work (no deep ML required)
Bonus Points
- Experience designing AI-powered products
- Experience with automation tools (Zapier, Make, etc.)
- Systems thinking / service design background
